The indicators of the Bosch dishwasher allow you to understand at what stage the dishwashing is. But there are a lot of light bulbs on the control panel, how to figure out which one is responsible for what? In the article, we have collected all the indicators so that you quickly find the answers to your questions.
What do the indicators on the Bosch panel mean?
Depending on the type of dishwasher, the control panel is located either on the top of the door (integrated PMM) or on the outside (freestanding models). Machines with mechanical control are equipped with these indicators:
- The brush (1) indicates the washing step.
- End (2) - the end of the wash.
- The faucet (3) is on - water is supplied to the system.
- Arrow icons (4) - indicate the presence or absence of salt.
- Snowflake (asterisk) (5) - rinse aid indication.
Models of dishwashers with a screen look like this:
The display may show numbers, the values of which are in the instructions:
- 1 - temperature adjustment from 65 to 75 degrees.
- 2 - automatic mode (Auto).
- 3 - temperature adjustment from 35 to 45 degrees.
- 4 - economical program at 50 ° (Eco).
- 5 (a glass with a cup) - a quick program at 45 ° C.
- 6 (shower) - preliminary rinse.
Also on Bosch dishwashers there may be such signs:
- A baby bottle is drawn - a hygiene regime in which the dishes are treated with hot water.
- Wavy lines with a plus sign - additional drying.
In some PMM models there is an indication of the end of the wash. It can be combined with an audio signal. This is “A beam on the floor”: during the entire program, the beam burns in red, and at its end, in green.
Decoding bulbs
Some LEDs light constantly, others do not light at this time. The first means the modes and programs at which the washing takes place.
- The “Brush” light is on - dishes are being washed.
- Arrows of salt light up - salt ends in the ion exchanger tank. If after adding it does not stop glowing, try mixing the salt in the compartment.
- A snowflake lit up - the rinse was over. As soon as you add it to the dispenser, the light goes out.
Some users turn to the wizard if one of the indicators is constantly flashing. Most often this happens with the “Crane” LED, while “End” may flash at the same time. Why is this happening:
Water is not poured into the chamber. This can happen if the shutoff valve is shut off or there is no water in the system. In addition, such elements are checked for blockage and operability: inlet hose, filter, inlet valve.
To check the intake valve membrane, it is enough to apply 220 V operating voltage to the coils. If the membrane opens, then the part is working, if not, the valve needs to be replaced.
There were problems in the electronic board, the contacts burned out or the triac burned out. Each triac on the board is responsible for the operation of one of the PMM parts. As a result of a short circuit, one of them could be damaged.
The Aquastop leakage protection has tripped. Mechanical protection is in the inlet hose. As soon as a leak occurs, a special sponge is impregnated with water and blocks the access of water to the system. Only a complete hose replacement will help.
When the Brush indicator is lit, the problem is also in "Aquastop", only of electronic type - is in the pallet. When water fills the pan, a float pops up - as a result, a leakage signal is sent to the module. But sometimes the float can stick. To get rid of the problem, tilt the dishwasher body from side to side.
The wizard will be able to pinpoint the cause of the flashing lights on the panel. Watch useful video on the topic:
